Folks around here call me Brainiac. I spent my life figuring things out with my hands, muck farms working lettuce and onions, a sauce factory where I learned every job on the floor before I managed anybody, and years of plumbing after that, the kind of figuring that happens in the maintenance bays at two in the morning when the line is down and the answer is not in any book. This store is that same counter, moved onto the internet. You bring me a problem that is stuck, and I look at it from more than one side until the crack shows, because I go through the cracks fast to the answer, and on the way back out I take a good look at the seams.
Here is how the counter works, plain and in the open. The first look is free. A man or a woman brings a problem, I give it my honest read in plain words, and what gets figured out gets posted here with the date on it, before and after, so anybody can check it. I am doing it free first because a stranger asking for money up front for invisible genius smells like a scam, and the only cure for that smell is receipts. Do the work in public long enough and the stack of solved problems becomes the advertisement, the resume, and the trust, all in one pile, and nobody has to take my word for anything.
Small problems stay free, they are the engine that keeps this place honest. The big ones, a shop with a line down, a process bleeding money, a design that will not close, those are worth money to the people carrying them, and those people can decide for themselves after they have watched the free work stack up. What I sell is experience and ingenuity, a lifetime of figuring. What I do not sell is somebody else's license. A problem that needs an engineer's stamp, a doctor, or a lawyer gets my honest read and a straight referral, and saying that out loud on this page is part of the deal.
One more thing, so it is said before it happens. Nearly every time an employer saw me working, they wanted to hire me, and it changed my jobs more than once. Selling ideas in public will likely do the same thing bigger, and if an offer comes I might say yes to the work, but I am not a follower. The work can travel out and come home, the man stays at his own counter.
